2020 showed us that America, in general, could do a better job at focusing on our health. Most of us would be healthier if the people around us had similar priorities. Tony Robbins likes to say, "we are the average of the five people we spend the most time with." I find it easier to stay on an eating plan when my wife is doing it with me. Even when we have the chance to eat out, we choose a restaurant that fits our healthy eating needs. My friends and coworkers follow similar eating strategies, which helps me stay on track.

Don't be afraid to tell your friends and family you are trying to achieve something. If they are not supportive of your goals, try to remember that it reflects them and not you. If you remain consistent for 3-4 weeks, the people around you will notice the difference. If you keep it up for longer, you'll likely find others looking to you for encouragement, and that is a great feeling.
