Have you ever felt down in the dumps about the direction your health is going? Felt like you’re in a rut? Then it’s time to take a hard look in the mirror and do some self-evaluation. Self-evaluation does not need to be some deep philosophical look inward. Just ask yourself, have your actions been in line with habits of an individual wanting to LOOK and FEEL their best? If your actions are not matching your goals, it is time to make a change. Here’s the deal. If you want to LOOK and FEEL your best, you need to build healthy habits and consistently cultivate those habits until they become your new “norm.” YOU can talk about it all you want. But until you draw a line, step across it, and never look back, you can not begin to build a new you.
Step two is being self-aware. If you eat well all day, skipping the junk, but then go out for happy hour, you are doing it wrong! Kudos on skipping the processed food but alcohol isn’t good for you either. Be aware of all of your nutritional decisions. That not only goes for the choices you make in public but also the ones you make behind closed doors. Get brutally honest with yourself. Ask for help.
